POLISH prospect Wiktor Lampart is the latest rider to join Birmingham for their move back into the Premiership.
\nIt will be the first time the 22-year-old has raced in the British leagues but arrives at Perry Barr heavily recommended.<\/p>\n
Lampart has already enjoyed some fine success on the shale with him being involved in Poland\u2019s World Under-21 Team Championship triumphs on three occasions.<\/p>\n
He also finished fourth in the 2022 SGP2 Series and has represented Lublin and Torun in his home country.<\/p>\n
And while it may be his maiden campaign in the UK, Birmingham CEO Nigel Tolley feels Lampart will be a hit with the Club\u2019s supporters.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact we\u2019ve been able to attract a rider of Wiktor\u2019s potential to Birmingham says a lot to me,\u201d <\/em>Tolley said.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has been on the radar of several Premiership teams for the past couple of years but we made our move and we got our man.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cOf course racing in British Speedway is going to be very different for Wiktor and it may take him a bit of time to settle down, especially on the away tracks.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cBut he\u2019s a very exciting Speedway rider to watch, he\u2019s certainly got the talent and the capability and he\u2019s one of those riders I think we\u2019ll see more and more of as each week goes by.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWiktor is certainly prepared for next ye<\/em>ar, he\u2019s already been working extremely hard in the off-season and I expect him to be very a popular member of the team.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Director of Speedway Laurence Rogers said: \u201cWe looked at various young riders who interested us in bringing them to the UK and the Brummies.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWiktor came highly recommended and showed he wanted to be here with us. \u201cDiscussions didn\u2019t take long between us and I think he will be a great asset for the Club.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Lampart is Birmingham\u2019s fifth signing alongside Steve Worrall, Tom Brennan, Zach Cook and Leon Flint with the team\u2019s top two yet to be finalised.<\/p>\n Words and Images by Birmingham Speedway<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" POLISH prospect Wiktor Lampart is the latest rider to join Birmingham for their move back into the Premiership.
