Workington Speedway owner Andrew Bain has hinted that big things are already in motion ahead of the 2026 season, revealing that preparations for the next campaign are \u201cwell underway\u201d<\/em> and that fans can expect \u201can exciting year\u201d<\/em> both on and off the track.<\/p>\n

Bain said: \u201cWe\u2019re already deep into discussions about 2026. The aim is to keep building something sustainable and exciting here. Supporters can expect to see a few surprises as we put the pieces together.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The GT Tyres Comets\u2019 return to competitive speedway has been a welcome addition to the sport, and Bain believes that momentum will only grow as the club looks ahead to another year of development and progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve learned a lot over our first three seasons \u2014 on the track, in management, and in how we connect with our fans,\u201d<\/em> he added. \u201cThat\u2019s given us a strong foundation to make the next steps. 2026 will be about improving the club again and giving the supporters something special.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

While Bain remained tight-lipped about the specifics of team building, he confirmed that discussions are ongoing:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s plenty happening behind the scenes regarding team building. We\u2019re committed to assembling a competitive side that will compete for success and silverware next season. Our fans can expect some team news to emerge in the coming few weeks.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to the 2026 season tickets, which will be released soon, 2026 sponsorship packages will also be available. These packages offer businesses and individuals the opportunity to get involved with Workington Speedway.
