During their tenure, Sheffield moved into the top flight and lifted six pieces of silverware over 11 seasons.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"768\">Co-owner Damien Bates said the decision came down to growing demands outside the sport:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"1078\">\n<p data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"1078\">\u201cThere\u2019s a huge amount of work involved in running a speedway club and with other work and family commitments, we\u2019ve just got too much on.<br data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"913\" \/>The club is in great shape \u2013 brilliant facilities, loyal fans, dedicated staff, and a strong team. It\u2019s the perfect set-up for someone else to now take forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1112\">Fellow owner Peter Mole added:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1114\" data-end=\"1384\">\n<p data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1384\">\u201cWe\u2019ve had so many good times since taking over and we\u2019re proud of how far we\u2019ve brought the club. But everything has added up and it\u2019s started to take its toll.
